Web development process can help to format the team effectively and the standards and procedures can be adopted to achieve maximum quality. Like the traditional software development, the process of web site development can also be divided into different life cycle steps. A system development process can follow a number of standard or specific frameworks, methodologies, modeling tools and languages. For educational/training website, Instructional Design Model (ID Model) is a process framework (general) that can be use.
What is Instructional Design Model..?? is it like model on the stage..?? noooo.. Instructional Design Model is the systematic process of translating general principles of learning and instruction into plans for instructional materials and learning. For example of instructional design model are ADDIE Model, ASSURE Model, Dick & Carey Model, Hannafin & Peck Model, Waterfall Model, Rapid Prototyping Model etc..

After finish discussion about basic concepts of web page, we are continue the next topic, TYPE OF WEBSITE.. why users tend to view web site? maybe users tend to view the function of the site or by its visual appearance..
Let’s see 5 function grouping of website that we can learn such as Informational sites, Transactional sites, Community sites, Entertainment sites and Other sites.
What are different between all of the function groupings..??
- INFORMATIONAL SITES provide information about a particular subject or organization.
- TRANSACTIONAL SITES can be used to conduct some transaction or task. E-commerce sites fall into this category.
- COMMUNITY SITES are focus on a particular topic or type of person and encourage interaction between like minded individuals.
- ENTERTAINMENT SITES for game playing or some form of amusing interaction (music, movie, etc.), which may include transactional, community, and informational elements.
- OTHER SITE are artistic or experimental sites, personal web spaces such as Web logs (also called blogs), and sites that may not follow common web conventions.
We might also categorize sites based upon the organization that is running. For examples: Commercial, Government, Educational, Charitable and Personal.
Anything else about type of website..?? don’t forget about Visual Groupings.. 4 types of visual groupings such as Text oriented, GUI Style, Metaphorical, Experimental.. which one are attractive..?? depend on individual..

come here, i will tell you what is different between website, web page and home page.. WEBSITE is a collection of web pages, images, videos or other digital assets that is hosted on one or more web servers, usually accessible via the Internet.. WEB PAGE is a document, typically written in HTML, that is almost always accessible via HTTP, a protocol that transfers information from the Web server to display in the user's Web browser..
now, what is portal PORTAL are pages intended to serve as main pages or gateway for specific topics or areas.. it proposes to be a major starting site for users when they get connected to the web or that users tend to visit as an anchor site..
who don't know what is blog? please put up your legs.. hehehe.. BLOG (an abridgment of the term web log) is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.. entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order..(if you not understand, you in blog world now..!!)
anything else? what is LMS and CMS? who want to answer? me me me..!!
LMS is Learning Management System.. that is a set of software tools designed to manage user learning interventions.. LMS go far beyond conventional training records management and reporting.. the value-add for LMS is the extensive range of complementary functionality they offer.. the example of LMS software are Moodle, Sakai, Dokeos, Claroline, OLAT, ATutor, WebCT, Blackboard etc..
CMS is Content Management System.. that is a computer software system for organizing and
facilitating collaborative creation of documents and other content.. CMS is a web application used for managing websites and web content.. the example of CMS are Joomla, Mambo, PhpNuke, Xoops, Zope etc..
so, are you understand now?? if all of you still not understand, you can search on internet..

COURSE SYNOPSIS:
In this course, students will be exposed with some state‐of‐the‐art communication technology tools, which is Internet and how it can be used efficiently in teaching and learning. Students will have their chance to develop an interactive teaching and learning webpage or portal using programming skills that have been learned in MPT 1193 (Authoring System). Students also will have an opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of the webpage; that has been developed; using several testing and evaluation techniques that will be introduced in this course.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
• Identify concepts of developing educational webpage for the use of teaching and learning.
• Apply instructional design models for developing a webpage.
• Learn technologies that relate with a webpage.
• Develop an educational webpage or portal that has teaching and learning elements.
• Conduct an evaluation process of the webpage or portal that has been developed.
• Plan, upload and maintain the webpage in a computer server.
